1. Definition and Structure
Steel tape armored cable, as the name suggests, is wrapped with one or more layers of steel tape on the outside of the cable to enhance its mechanical strength and protective properties. This cable structure usually includes conductor, insulation, filler, inner sheath, steel tape armor layer and outer sheath and other parts. Among them, the steel belt armor layer is the main protective layer of the cable, which can effectively resist external mechanical stress, extrusion and impact, and protect the internal structure of the cable from damage.
2.Characteristics and advantages
1.High strength: the steel belt armor layer significantly improves the mechanical strength of the cable, enabling it to withstand greater tension and pressure.
2.Abrasion resistance: steel belt material has good abrasion resistance, which can prolong the service life of the cable.
3.Anti-corrosion: some steel belt armored cables are made of corrosion-resistant materials such as galvanized or stainless steel, which improves the anti-corrosion performance of the cable.
4.Fire-retardant: some steel belt armored cable also has fire-retardant function, can maintain a certain integrity in the fire, reduce fire damage.
5.Wide range of application: steel belt armored cable is suitable for a variety of harsh environments, such as underground pipelines, tunnels, bridges and other places.
3. the application scene
Steel belt armored cable is widely used in electric power, communication, transportation, construction and other fields. In the electric power system, it is often used in high-voltage transmission lines and distribution lines; in the field of communication, it is used to protect sensitive components such as optical fibers from external interference and damage. In addition, in subway, tunnel and other underground projects, steel belt armored cable is also favored for its excellent protective performance.
